The Biodemography of Human Reproduction and Fertility

Written by an international group of specialists, the papers of this collection present research on human fertility using the methods, models, and theories from the fields of biology and demography. The topics include anorexia as a disease of low fertility, the possible adaptivity of phenotypic plasticity, the role of nurturant schemas in human reproduction, life history and nonmarital first births, fertility rates and life history in rural Gambia, and genetic models and fertility.
