商品簡介
Contemporary biblical scholarship on the Psalter is represented by 27 essays, four of them in German, by invited scholars from Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa. Though by no means comprehensive, the anthology is intended to suggest the breadth of concern and research, and to highlight some matters that are receiving particular attention. In addition to general topics and commentary on or interpretation of specific psalms, they consider the Psalter as a book including smaller collections, textual history and reception in Judaism and Christianity, and the theology of the Psalter. Separate indexes cite scriptural passages, Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha, Dead Sea Scrolls, other ancient writings, and modern authors. Annotation c2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
