商品簡介
The origins of the book go back to an August 2007 conference where no papers were presented, only questions asked and knowledge shared about the demography, landscape, and cultural diversity of the northern Southwest for the little-studied period AD 650 to 950. Scraps of information and insight began coalescing into knowledge and understanding, until finally a book was proposed. The topics include the Central Mesa Verde as the heartland of the early Pueblos, early Pueblo communities in southeastern Utah, alternative trajectories in the Little Colorado drainage and beyond, the unexpended stability of Rio Grande communities during the early development period, women's central role in early Pueblo change, and early Pueblo villages in a pioneer/colonial epi-classic world.
