Stephanie Houghton is an Associate Professor in Intercultural Communication at Saga University in Japan, where she is the Chief of the Student Exchange section of the Center for the Promotion of International Exchange. Her research activities focus on intergroup relations, self and identity in foreign language education and the development of intercultural communicative competence.
