商品簡介
What makes a non-governmental organization (NGO) most effective in addressing human rights issues? For this work, Wong (political science, U. of Toronto) studied seven major human rights groups and concluded that those who centralized agenda setting were most successful. A whole chapter focuses specifically on the work of Amnesty International, examined through the lenses of network theory and organizational sociology. This is an expanded version of the author's dissertation at the University of California, San Diego. Annotation c2012 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
