Until My Freedom Has Come ─ The New Intifada in Kashmir

Beginning in 2010, Kashmir, occupied by a massive concentration of Indian soldiers in order to suppress objections to Indian rule, began to witness a new uprising (or "intifada"--borrowing the Arabic word for "shaking off" from the Palestinian struggle) of unarmed civilians, according to the editor (a documentary filmmaker who has previously worked on a film about Kashmir, Jashne-Azadi or How We Celebrate Freedom). In this anthology, he presents 28 pieces readings that give voice to various Kashmiri perspectives on the struggle under Indian military occupation, as well as sympathetic outsider perspectives.
