Roger McGough was born and brought up in Liverpool, and studied French and Geography at Hull University. A highly-acclaimed poet for children and adults, he has been awarded an OBE for his contribution to poetry. His previous titles include Bad Bad Cats, Poems about Love, and The Ring of Words. He lives in South West London, U.K.
Chris Riddell was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and studied at Brighton Polytechnic, where he graduated with a first class degree in illustration. He now divides his time between illustrating children’s books and working as a political cartoonist for The Economist and The Observer. His previous titles include Something Else, which was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal and the Smarties prize, The Trouble with Elephants, and Out for the Count. Riddell lives in Brighton, U.K.
