Jacqueline Marino is an assistant professor of journalism at Kent State University, where she teaches feature writing and other courses in the school’s magazine sequence. Her nonfiction stories and essays have appeared in many publications, including Cleveland Magazine, The Christian Science Monitor, and River Teeth: A Journal of Narrative Nonfiction. This is her first book.
Tim Harrison is a documentary photographer based in Cleveland, Ohio. He covers the Southern Great Lakes region and sometimes works abroad. His photographs have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Der Spiegel magazine. He is an adjunct professor at Kent State University, where he teaches a class in visual storytelling.
