Cart (former professor of young adult literature at UCLA, as well as a columnist and reviewer for ALA's Booklist magazine) has compiled a list of 200 young adult categorized books from two decades of review. The book list is divided into two lists, fiction and nonfiction. Cart wrote annotations that contain both descriptive and critical content, which include genres.
