商品簡介
Harrington, a high school librarian and part-time lecturer at Rutgers U. in the management of school library programs, uses role-playing and mystery to get students ages 10-14 involved in a problem-solving, inquiry-based process that helps them form opinions and make sense of their thinking. She outlines lessons, strategies, information standards, differentiation ideas, and materials for teachers and library media specialists to use to get students to be detectives in researching topics, and provides a student casebook to guide them through the research process (using a language arts project as an example) and encourage them to ask questions, be observant, and get involved as they gather information from the library media center. This edition has been updated with details about guided inquiry and promoting self-assessment by embedding reflection in the research process. There is no index.
