This guide walks undergraduate and graduate students through Q methodological research, which favors the first-person perspectives of its participants. The first section of the book offers a historical and theoretical context for Q methodology. Section 2 explains how to set up, conduct, and analyze Q methodological research, encompassing single- and multiple-participant designs. This section provides statistical and conceptual explanations of factor extraction and factor rotation; it also includes discussion of software packages, useful equations, and alternative extraction methods. The last section covers factor interpretation and writing and publishing Q methodological papers. Appendices offer about 30 pages of instructions and crib sheets.
