商品簡介
This work studies the US program known as the Visible Infrared Imager Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) and other options for current and future satellite ocean color measurements. The study considers sensor specifications, mission operation scenarios, calibration and validation plans, and data exchange policies, integrating material on the latest ocean color remote sensing programs such as the Jijt Polar Satellite System and NASA's Pre-Aerosol-Clouds-Ecosystem missions. Capabilities of current and planned ocean color sensor missions are described, lessons learned from ocean color satellite missions are outlined, and recommendations for sustaining global ocean color remote sensing over the long term are given. Color charts and images in a color layout support the text whose readership includes those in industry, academia, and research. Annotation c2012 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
