From Dorothy Allison, author of Bastard Out of Carolina and Cavedweller, to Stephen Wright, who wrote Meditations in Green and The Amalgamation Polka, this volume of the Dictionary of Literary Bibliography profiles 38 American novelists who have published works in the 21st century. Each profile includes a photographic portrait and other illustrations; lists the author's works; and provides a biographical overview of the author's career, with attention paid to significant events in the author's life, common and exceptional themes found in their works, and reception and accolades. Each profile also includes a guide to interviews with the author and profile references. Among the other writers included by the editors (both of Northern Illinois U.) are Jeffrey Eugenides, Julia Glass, Stephen King, Alison Lurie, Ann Patchett, Annie Proulx, William T.
