This is a delightful tale about little Lee-Lee, a lovely young girl who was born with small, pointed fingers that had a dusting of soft fur. Because Lee-Lee's hands are different from other children's, her parents do all they can to make sure their daughter knows that she is loved unconditionally. That love is reflected in Lee-Lee's kindness to all the animals in the forest, who love her in return for her compassion. The Girl With Chipmunk Hands is a story that can teach young children to practice the principles of caring, respect, and acceptance. For the parents of children with any type of developmental disability, The Girl With Chipmunk Hands includes a list of organizations that provide information and a variety of resources for families with children who have special needs.
