This third book in the Mighty Wheels series presents big, strong vehicles that can build roads, tow or flatten whole cars or haul big loads. They rumble and roar as they carry out tasks that require sheer force of strength and size.

Like the first two books in this series, Rough Tough Wheels is written in simple, rhythmic text, easy for toddlers to follow. The pictures are clearly detailed and colorful.

Debora Pearson is the author of the first books in the Mighty Wheels series, Load 'Em Up Trucks and Hard Working Wheels, both illustrated by Chum McLeod. She co-authored the first three books in Annick Press's Adventure Travel series: 52 Days by Camel: My Sahara Adventure (1998), By Truck to the Arctic (1998) and Jungle Islands: South Sea Adventure(2000). Debora is also the editor of the acclaimed The TV Book: The Kids' Guide to Talking Back (1996) by Shelagh Wallace. She lives in Toronto.

Chum McLeod graduated from the Ontario College of Art in 1989. Since then Chum has been busy as an illustrator. She has illustrated books for several different publishers, including the popular Henry and the Cow Problem (1992) for Annick Press. Chum lives in Barrie, Ontario.
