Including contributions from such notable leftist and progressive writers as Michael Parenti, Howard Zinn, and Ralph Nader, these 30 articles explore a number of aspects of the growing influence of corporations on higher education campuses in the United States. While many of the articles explore the negative aspects of the phenomena on faculty, students, and intellectual freedom in general, a significant number of the articles explore such resistance as the Free Burma Coalition's victory over Pepsico policies. Also, six of the contributions offer advice on campus organizing against corporate power. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
