Seven Holocaust scholars explore complex and challenging connections between the historical Holocaust, the way the Nazis understood nature, the way the victims of the Holocaust experienced nature, and the way people approach nature today on both individual and collective levels. Among the topics are the medicalization of nature: manipulating social ecology, Jewish reflections on our relation to nature in the post-Holocaust era, whether the Bible is obstacle or guide in the ecological debate, and feminist reflections on the Holocaust and nature.
