Sawatsky (peace and conflict transformation studies, Canadian Mennonite U., Winnipeg) explores notions of healing justice, which is related to both indigenous justice and restorative justice, and is used by a number of communities to point away from state justice toward another kind. He takes the three communities as case studies to illustrate who uses healing justice, the conditions and factors that sustain its practices and visions, and what restorative justice and Western states might learn from the insights of the three communities.
