Anthony B. Pinn is Professor of Humanities and Professor of Religious Studies at Rice University, USA, and Director of Research for the Institute for Humanist Studies. He is author of many works including The African American Religious Experience in America (University Press of Florida, 2007), The Black Church in the Post Civil Rights Era (Orbis, 2002), and Terror and Triumph: the Nature of Black Religion (Augsburg Fortress, 2003).
