商品簡介
This reader provides a general introduction and overview of the field of new literacies from an educational perspective. New literacies might be digital literacy or information literacy, and point to new forms of written language emerging in modern daily life. The contributions are organized into five sections: pedagogies and other in-classroom settings, learning new literacies beyond the classroom, new literacies and teachers' professional training, affinities with popular culture, and perspectives on doing research with new literacies. Specific essays consider multimodal pedagogies, performance poetry and urban schools, online identity performance, and education research in video games.
