商品簡介
Although Protestant evangelism is traditionally associated with charismatic men, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries women often played a key role. This volume focuses on the efforts of 24 women evangelists and their evangelistic institutions, rescue homes, missions, and religious training schools. It is extensively researched, resting on 70 pages of citations in small print. Occasional black and white photographs appear, mostly from the archives of organizations such as the Pillar of Fire. Pope-Levison is a professor of theology and the assistant director of Women's Studies at Seattle Pacific University. Annotation c2014 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
