商品簡介
Each volume in the series looks at a single manuscript of an Old Testament book in Greek. Gurtner (Bethel Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota) departs from other commentary on the book of Exodus by focusing on what the translator was intending to communicate in rendering the text from Hebrew into Greek. Therefore, he spends little time on translational features of key terms, or reception history. He observes some unique readings with respect to the Hebrew Masoretic Text, but only so far as it helps understand what the translator intended to convey. He also attends to grammatical and syntactical features particular to the Greek. Annotation c2013 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
