Peggy Caravantes, author of fourteen previous books for children and teens, has a special interest in writing about women who can serve as role models for today's girls. After receiving her bachelor's degree in English and her master's degree in education, Peggy became a teacher and a writer. She lives in San Antonio, TX. Carolyn Dee Flores is a children's book illustrator from San Antonio, Texas. Some of Carolyn's original artwork may be found in the Permanent Collection of the Mazza Museum of International Art from Picture Books, and at the Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children's Literature.
