Her path in this life has never been easy; she went through much abuse growing up, learned to hate herself, and became self-destructive. Her only memories of God as a small child were going a couple of times to Sunday school before her life took a turn for the worse. She spent many years crying but didn't turn to Jesus until she was nineteen. The pain was so great that she didn't want to live anymore. It was at this moment that she decided to give her life over to Jesus. Jesus became my her best friend, her healer, her teacher. He showed her who she was in Him and He filled her with confidence. She saw that what Jesus taught her was in the Bible: forgiveness, love, confidence, giving with an open heart, trusting and believing, and not judging others because God will judge you. Jesus is your best friend if you choose Him.
Angela Filla was born in England in 1970. Her family moved to Australia when she was very young, and she grew up in western Australia. She graduated from Kelmscott High in 1987 before moving overseas at the age of twenty-two. She moved back in 2005 with her loving family.
