These twelve essays go far beyond the usual in examining the portfolio, starting with issues and alternatives in portfolio construction, ideas on supporting the process, negotiating the contested terrain of the initial teaching portfolio, secret and sacred stories, toward a pedagogy of portfolio development, embracing contemporary learning through an e-portfolio, reflexive portfolio, portfolios as public spaces, the aesthetics of vulnerability, unwittingly naked or choosing transparency in portfolio development, the portfolio as teacher identity, digital self-portraits, and case studies on three aspects of digital portfolios.
