商品簡介
A member of the Romanian aristocracy, Raoul Bossy's primary historical significance is his diplomatic postings to Rome in the 1920s (and between 1939-1940), Budapest in the 1930s, and Berlin in the 1940s. In this work, written during or before the 1960s, Bossy relied on his diaries to reconstruct his memories of the postings, which witnessed the rise of fascism and the dismemberment of Greater Romania at the hands of larger powers. His life after he left the Romanian diplomatic service is dealt with in a cursory fashion. Annotation (c) Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
