Paige Grant put in a full career as a hydrologist, based mostly out of Santa Fe, New Mexico. She takes particular pride in having founded the Santa Fe Watershed Association and led it for its first seven years. Along with her profession, she has pursued her lifelong avocations of singing old songs – currently as co-director of the group “Melismata” – and creative writing, encouraged by her children who demanded bedtime songs and stories. When the kids took wing, she and her husband filled their empty nest by volunteering with the Santa Fe Animal Shelter, fostering adult animals that needed some loving-kindness to get over their fear of people, and puppies and kittens that needed a safe, happy place to grow until they got big enough to be spayed or neutered and adopted into a forever home.
