It is an attempt to help unveil and understand the concept of global terrorism in all its ramifications, and its effect on humanity. The book will be of interest to security operatives and strategists, administrators, researchers, students, social critics, the media, religious leaders, and the general public.
Abayomi Mumuni has a solid understanding of security issues including terrorism and counter-terrorism history, activities and trends, the socioeconomic impact of terrorism, government’s role in security, cross-functional agencies supporting security, prevention and risk reduction strategies for securing infrastructures, and policing strategies to prevent and respond to security issues. He has extensive government experience in Nigeria and Lagos, which makes him uniquely qualified to discuss this subject as it relates to Africa. His studies have included degrees in public administration, criminal justice, and conflict management, and he is currently working on a law degree.
