商品簡介
This book examines the lag in Japanese adoption of contemporary medical technology, and therapies. Altenstetter takes an in-depth look at the root causes in the regulatory framework of Japanese medicine for the "device gap," in comparison to European and American adoption of medical technology, providing analysis that may point in the direction of reform toward modernization. She examines the interaction between Japanese doctors, patients, and the government, as well as the evolving relationship between health care providers and Japanese policymakers. Altenstetter is a professor of political science at the City University of New York. Annotation c2014 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
