Too often, institutionalized racism is not even the elephant in the room, but is completely denied or overlooked. Not anymore. Institutionalized Racism, Organizations & Public Policy seeks not only to educate, but to empower the public to turn the tides on the inadequacy of cultural competency, equity, and diversity in the workplace. This book empowers all who read it--researchers, students, teachers, administrators, legislators, and employees--to become change agents in their workplace and communities. An in-depth look at religious institutions, race, belief systems, institutions of higher learning, nonprofit, community services organizations, philanthropic organizations, law enforcement agencies, and public administration is provided.
