Patricia Pender is Lecturer in English at the University of Newcastle, Australia. She is the author of Early Modern Women's Writing and the Rhetoric of Modesty (2012) and has published essays on Anne Askew, Mary Sidney, and Anne Bradstreet in journals such as Women's Writing, SEL and HLQ.
Rosalind Smith is Associate Professor in English at the University of Newcastle, Australia, and has published articles and books on early modern women's writing, including Sonnets and the English Woman Writer, 1560-1621 (2005). With Patricia Pender, she coordinates the Early Modern Women's Research Network (EMWRN) and leads an Australian Research Council project on the Material Cultures of Early Modern Women's Writing.
