商品簡介
Johanson and Bulut (Johannes Gutenberg U., Mainz, Germany) present a collection of papers based on contributions to two international conferences convened in Mainz, in December, 1998, and January, 2002. The essays deal with some of the symbiotic bonds that have developed over the long history of Turkic-Iranian interaction. Seventeen contributions are organized into sections on historical, cultural and literary aspects; linguistics aspects from the Turkic perspective; and linguistic aspects from the Iranian perspective. A sampling of topics: Old Anatolian Turkish poetry in its relationship to the Persian tradition, hybrid names as a special device of Central Asian naming, palatal-velar vocalism of Arabic-Persian loanwords in 16th century Ottoman Turkish, and language change and modeling modal axes--Irano-Turkic convergence.
