商品簡介
An edition and English translation of a text within a Madrid manuscript that is the only surviving account of the first crusade in vernacular Occitan verse. During the course of its transmission, it seems to have been translated at some point into Old French and back again into Occitan, but may be a fragment of a work that 12-century writers often referred to and attributed to Gregory Bechada. The study is revised from Dewberry's 1988 doctoral dissertation for Oxford University; Paterson supervised the dissertation and collaborated on the publication. Some part of the Introduction seems to be missing. Annotation (c) Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
