商品簡介
These 15 chapters, derived from papers presented at a conference held in 2000 at Edge Hill College, UK, with which sociologist Reynolds is associated, contribute to the academic literature on sexual consent that emerged in the 1990s. They offer a multidisciplinary exploration of issues beyond a simple yes or no, e.g., how people make decisions about sexual relations, the diversity of sexuality, and legal reform. Cowling (criminology, U. of Teesside) begins the book with a review of approaches, including feminist, to anti-rape education. A critique of Susan Sontag's Fascinating Fascism article (1975), in which she equated non-consensual sex with violence, concludes the volume.
