《中國的大洋事業》一書由國家海洋局海洋發展戰略研究所負責編寫和審校。是國家出版基金資助出版專案、“十二五”國家重點圖書出版規劃專案“中國海洋”叢書中的一本分冊。本書敘述了中國進行大洋活動的主要空間——國際海底區域相關法律制度的產生和發展、國際海底區域的豐富資源和重要戰略價值以及中國進行大洋科考、參與國際海底區域事務、申請國際海底區域礦區等實踐活動。
The Maritime Undertaking of China was compiled and revised by the Marine Development Strategy Institute of State Oceanic Administration. It forms one volume in the serial China’s Maritime Development which is a publishing program sponsored by the National Publishing Fund as well as the Twelfth Five-year Guideline of National Important Books. This book discusses the primary space of China’s maritime undertaking, including the following topics: the formation and development of legal systems related with the international deep seabed areas, rich resources there and their important strategic values, China’s practices in ocean scientific expedition, participation in affairs in the international deep seabed areas, and application for establishing mines there, etc.
