Prior to pursuing a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, Dr. Schaschke worked in the nuclear reprocessing industry at Sellafield (Cumbria, United Kingdom). In addition, his research interests are in the thermophysical measurement of substances under extreme pressure, he has taught fluid mechanics to undergraduates, and he has published several books.
