Landscape Culture ― The Differentiated Construction of Landscapes

?Increasing international migration the seemingly universal penetration of landscapes (including the internet) and global travel call for research to consider the multitude of different cultural meanings of landscapes. This book reflects the mecanisms of the creation of culture as well as the mecanisms of the social construction of landscapes. The logics of multi-cultural perceptions and meanings of landscape are reflected by an international authorship. The book also provides guidance on cultural sensitive issues and inclusion in practical planning.

Dr. Diedrich Bruns teaches as professor at the department for landscape architecture at Kassel University.

Dr. Olaf Kuhne is professor of agricultural- and regional management at the University of Weihenstephan-Triesdorf.

Dr. Antje Schonwald is research assistant for geography at the University of Saarland.

Dipl.-Ing. Simone Theile is research assistant for landscape planning at Kassel University.
