The Bronze Age in the Lebanon ― Studies on the Archaeology and Chronology of Lebanon, Syria and Egypt

This volume compiles 13 studies selected from papers given at a meeting, "The Bronze Age in the Lebanon," held at the Institut Francais D'Archeologie du Proche Orient in Beirut in 2000. Focusing on the area of Lebanon, Syria, and Egypt, archaeologists present new data and analysis and synthesis of existing data as they examine pottery, cuneiform texts, trade, and mortuary traditions as well as the southern Levant, the Aegean, Cyprus, and Anatolia, focusing on the Middle Bronze Age to the Middle Bronze-Late Bronze Age transition. Sites discussed include Sidon, Byblos, Kamid el-Loz, Tell Mishrifeh/Qatna, and Ras Shamra and Ras Ibn-Hani. Three papers are in French. There is no index.
