商品簡介
Progressive education is both a social movement and a pedgogical school within the field of education. This handbook on progressive education is edited by the president of the Turkish Educational Research Association and a US specialist in information technology for education. It is divided into five sections, each with its own editors: the past, the present within institutions, the present, the future, and overarching issues. Contributions vary in tone from critical theory to experiential learning; philosophies are often influenced by John Dewey, Jane Addams, or Paulo Friere. All contributions are in English. Most contributors are from the US; a minority of contributions come from a very wide range of European nations, and a few from other countries, including China, South Korea, Turkey, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Authors range from primary school teachers and international aid workers to academics in education, library science, and related fields. Annotation c2015 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
