Lawson-Hart's third novel and his first sci-fi extravaganza, incorporating elements of auto racing and "future shock", while still maintaining the humanity and strong, realistic characters that he established with his previous two efforts (Wellspring and WellSeen). It was written as his entry for National Novel Writing Month (the book was not quite finished by the end of the thirty days but he had gone well past the 50,000 word mark), and though he started out unsure if it was even a half-decent idea for a novel, the finished product far surpassed his own expectations.
