The book departs from traditional log analysis books in that it has a very strong emphasis on geologic principles with an extensive review of the processes that influence hydrocarbon accumulations. The chapters are written in a stand-alone format. This book is beautifully illustrated with colored plots, charts, and block diagrams on virtually every page.
作者簡介
Oberto Serra is a graduate engineer from ENSPM (IFP School-France) with a PhD in geology. He has served as chief of the Well Logging Department of the ELF-Aquitaine group (1969-1978), chief geologist at Schlumberger Technical Services (1978-1993), and technical advisor of the Serralog Co. (2000-2006). He has published in the following fields: well logging, borehole geophysics, petrophysics, geological applications, and stratigraphy. Lorenzo Serra has a master’s degree in physics and is a former Schlumberger field engineer and executive manager of Serralog Company.
