Giorgio Caravale, Ph.D (2000) University of Rome 'Sapienza', is Professor of Early Modern European History at the University of Roma Tre. He is the author of many articles and monographs, includingForbidden Prayer. Church Censorship and Devotional Literature in Renaissance Italy (Ashgate 2011).
