商品簡介
The Cutaneous Lymphoid Proliferations encompasses an array of topics including reactive infiltrates, precursor states to lymphoma as a defining point in lymphomagenesis, the diverse malignant lymphomas that can affect the skin primarily or secondarily. Recognizing the divergent ontogeny of the hematopoietic stem cell, a chapter on myeloid infiltrates is included. The details of each entity from a clinical, light microscopic, phenotypic, molecular, cytogenetic, pathogenetic basis are presented in a logical and concise fashion narratively and pictorially utilizing many tables, photomicrographs and other relevant images. Finally the case vignettes, lauded in the first edition as a tool especially valuable not only to trainees in the discipline but also the seasoned pathologist and clinician, are expanded in this new edition.
The book represents a chronological narrative that commences with an introduction to the ontogeny and biology of the lymphoid system. There is a logical progression from completely benign cutaneous lymphocytic infiltrates to those which are malignant. Understanding the basis of these diverse infiltrates as opposed to a pattern recognition based emphasis is a critical mission that is undeniably accomplished.
This second edition:
Contains hundreds of full-color, high-quality clinical and histologic, cytogenetic, molecular photographs
Incorporates the pathogenetic basis of common benign reactive lymphocytic infiltrates, aberrant atypical reactive lymphocytic infiltrates falling under the rubric of pseudolymphoma, endogenous prelymphomatous cutaneous T and B cell dyscrasias as precursor states to lymphoma
Includes additional and diverse hematologic dyscrasias, including angiomatous pseudolymphoma, CLIPPER syndrome, novel forms of cutaneous T cell dyscrasia such as keratoderma-like T cell dyscrasia, cutaneous and systemic plasmacytosis, multicentric Castleman's disease, primary cutaneous light chain associated amyloidosis, double-hit B cell lymphoma, blastic marginal zone lymphoma, spindle cell B cell lymphoma, follicular helper T cell lymphoma, indolent CD8 lymphoid proliferation of the ear, myxoid anaplastic large cell lymphoma, CD30+ follicle center cell lymphoma, type D/type E lymphomatoid papulosis and lymphomatoid papulosis with a 6p25.3 rearrangement
Contains a new chapter on myelomonocytic dyscrasias, including terminally differentiated histiocytopathies such as Langerhans cell histiocytosis, generalized eruptive histiocytosis, reticulohistiocytosis, interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma, histiocytic sarcoma
Presents numerous additional clinical vignettes including those which emphasize the newer recognized cutaneous lymphoproliferative disorders
