商品簡介
Carl Wieman's contributions have had a major impact on defining the field of atomic physics as it exists today. He has researched areas such as precision laser spectroscopy, techniques to cool and trap atoms using laser light, atoms reactions with light at ultracold temperatures, and Bose-Einstein condensation in a dilute gas. In recent years, he has turned his attention to new methods and research in physics education. This book collects his published papers, from the 1970s to the present, with annotations by the author. Wieman is director of the Carl Wieman Science Education Initiative at the University of British Columbia. He is also Distinguished Teacher of Physics and director of the University of Colorado Science Education Initiative at the University of Colorado.
