商品簡介
For researchers with a minimal background in theoretical statistical, Thode (emergency medicine, State U. of New York-Stony Brook) presents goodness-of-fit tests that were designed to, or could be used to, determine whether a sample of observations could have come from a normal distribution. He does include some sections on theory, though they can be safely ignored, but he focuses primarily on methodology and utility of the tests to help readers judge which tests would be best for the particular circumstances at hand. He suggests that the information could provide an understanding of underlying distributional assumptions and the effects of violating those assumptions that researchers could use to develop or improve analogous tests for multivariate normality, the exponential distribution, the Weibull distribution, or other cases.
