Makaila Nichols was discovered at the age of fourteen by a modeling scout at a mall near her family’s home in Orlando, FL. Shortly after, she signed with Wilhelmina Miami and Wilhelmina LA. After a short break to focus on schoolwork, Nichols resumed her modeling career by signing with IMAGES NYC. She was then signed by Mavrick Artists Agency in Los Angeles for theatrical representation and quickly booked her first lead role in an upcoming horror film titled Sweethearts. Filming is set to take place in summer of 2016. Nichols spends her time travelling between New York and Los Angeles for work, and is currently taking three college courses online although she won’t graduate from high school until May. She is passionate about pursuing her career in modeling and acting, but her true passion is writing, especially for teens. Her first book, Blatantly Honest, will be released this fall from Brown Books.
