Maia Walczak is an artist, illustrator and author of adult and children’s fiction. Born and raised in London to Polish parents, Maia has lived in the UK, Chile and Australia, and Poland, and now resides in North London. Her mother is a librarian and her sister, Zofia Walczak, is a photographer and linguist.
Maia’s previous works include The Silent Books, a series of picture books without words, and a standalone interactive ebook The Black Hat. She has a strong fan base for her illustrations and artwork, holding exhibitions of her work across London. She is a member of the Happy Gallery art collective. The Colour Black is her first book for adults.
