Dr. Alan Kadish is a prominent cardiologist and president and CEO of Touro College and University System. Prior to joining Touro, Dr. Kadish taught at the University of Michigan and held a nineteen year tenure at Northwestern University. Dr. Kadish is a past chair of the Clinical Cardiology Program Committee of the American Heart Association, and has been elected to prestigious scientific research and education societies including the American Association of Professors, the American Society for Clinical Investigation, and the American Society of Physicians. Norman Saffra, MD, FACS, is one of the nation’s leading ophthalmic laser and microsurgeons. Dr. Saffra is known for his expertise in disease of the Retina and Vitreous in particular, diabetic eye disease and macular degeneration. Dr. Saffra is an active member of many ophthalmic associations and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists and the North American Association of Neuro Ophthalmology. Dr. Saffra frequently lectures in medical schools and to physicians throughout the country, and has published numerous papers in leading scientific journals. He has been listed in the ?Castle Connolly Guide: How to find the Best Doctors (New York metro area)” and in New York Magazine’s ?Best Doctors” issue for the past several years.
