商品簡介
In this resource, Golding, a clinical psychologist, outlines a six-session program meant to help parents and carers nurture attachments with children who have relationship difficulties, particularly those who have experienced attachment problems, trauma, loss, or separation early in their lives. The program is based on the Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and Practice model developed by Dan Hughes and introduces parents to four challenges with these children: blocked trust, fear of intersubjective connection within reciprocal relationships, high levels of shame, and miscuing of attachment needs through a pattern of expressed and hidden needs. The program helps parents build emotional connections with children to increase trust and attachment security and reduce levels of shame; understand how to provide support for behavior along with building these connections; explore the dangers of blocked care with children with blocked trust and understand the importance of self-care; and recognize the significance of exploring one’s own attachment history. It contains evidence for the effectiveness of the program, then three modules of two sessions each on the challenges of parenting, therapeutic parenting, and looking after the self. Notes are provided on each session, as are example session plans, trainer notes, description of activities, process notes, and frequently asked questions. Activity sheets, handouts, a glossary, and a reading list are also included. Annotation ©2017 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
