Tim Locke specializes in writing and editing books on Britain, and has edited titles for Bradt Travel Guides, Rough Guides and others. He wrote the Bradt Guide to Slow Sussex & South Downs National Park, and edited numerous other titles in the Slow Travel series, including the titles for Cornwall, Norfolk, Suffolk and the Yorkshire Dales. He has produced in conjunction with the South Downs National Park guide leaflets to Car Free Travel from Lewes and Town & Downs walks from Lewes, as well as a featured walk on the High Weald at Burwash for the Royal Geographical Society’s Discovery Walks website, in conjunction with the High Weald AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) Unit. He has also updated AA walk guides to Sussex, both for the 50 Walks in Sussex & South Downs and for 40 Short Walks in Sussex, and worked on nine editions as Associate Editor of The Good Pub Guide. Previously he has written extensively on Britain for AA guides (including Explorer Britain) and for Which? Books (including The Good Walks Guide).
